Lawyer: Dennis Quaid's Twins Have Fully Recovered

Lawyer: Dennis Quaid's Twins Have Fully Recovered | Dennis Quaid Dennis and Kimberly Quaid's twins have fully recovered and were recently discharged from the hospital, their lawyer Susan E. Loggans confirms to PEOPLE.

"The twins are back home," Loggans said of the newborns, Boone and Zoe. "Their condition is fantastic, they're smiling. Zoe looks like her mom, and Boone looks like his dad. They've fully recovered from the accident and it's doubtful they'll suffer long-term effects from the overdose."

The infants, born Nov. 8, were hospitalized Nov. 20 at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after accidentally being given 1,000 times the recommended dose of Heparin on Nov. 18.

Loggans clarified that the twins' "continued suffering," as stated in a lawsuit the Quaids filed Tuesday against the makers of Heparin, refers to losses of a financial nature and ongoing invasions of the Quaids' privacy.

"The Quaids are very religious, and they believe their children's recovery is a real miracle," Loggans added.

Amy Winehouse Had Been Asleep

Rep: Amy Winehouse Had Been Asleep What was Amy Winehouse doing wandering outside in London's predawn chill wearing only jeans and a red bra?

"She was not on an all-night bender," her U.K. rep tells PEOPLE of Winehouse's appearance outside her flat at 5:45 a.m. Sunday morning.

Winehouse, 24, was sound asleep when she heard a noise outside. Having had friends over earlier in the evening, she wondered if one returned, according to the rep, who said: "She heard all these noises, and she went outside to look and there were all these photographers."

The rep added, "She'd been sound asleep, and then there were all these photographers – of course she looked startled."

British newspapers reported the singer – captured in photographs sans makeup and her trademark beehive – was "muttering incomprehensibly."

Says her rep: "In light of recent reports, it's easy to make false assumptions, but she's getting better and she needs the space to do that."

After a rocky start to her U.K. tour, the singer on Nov. 27 canceled all appearances for the rest of the year.

Gianni joins big brother Marco, who is 4.

The former Law & Order actress, 39, confirmed the pregnancy to PEOPLE in August, when she also admitted she was struggling to find a name that went well with Mastropietro.

"Maybe something Irish," she said.

Hennessy was still at a loss two months later. "If you have anything that rhymes with the last name, let me know," she said.

Besides being an actress, Hennessy is also a musician and has been working on a CD this year.

Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester Says She's 'Really Close' to Chace Crawford

Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester Says She's 'Really Close' to Chace Crawford | Chace Crawford, Leighton Meester Yes, he's dreamy. But Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester is shooting down talk of a romance with costar Chace Crawford.

"For the record, not true!" she told PEOPLE at the Monday night at The Help Group's Annual Teddy Bear Ball, where CW head honcho Dawn Ostroff was being honored.

But the brunette, 21, does admit that Crawford is one of her favorite costars. "I'm really close to Chace," she said. "We're really good friends. [Along with] Nicole [Fiscella], who plays Isabel on the show. We're all just really happy people. We have the same views on life."

There certainly were no visible sparks between the two at the Teddy Bear bash. Crawford, 22 – who has been linked to Carrie Underwood – sat next to Gossip's Blake Lively, while Meester sat across the table.

Lively, for one, says she's sick of all the, well, gossip. "The biggest thing I've noticed is they kind of want everybody to be their character," the 20-year-old said. "Like Leighton [dating] Chace, and me and Leighton hating each other. Those are our characters on the show – that's not us in real life."

Tim Burton & Helena Bonham Carter's Gory Christmas

Tim Burton & Helena Bonham Carter's Gory Christmas | Helena Bonham Carter, Tim Burton The household of Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter is outfitted for Christmas – just not in the traditional manner.

"He decorates it with dead babies and slime balls and things," Carter, 41, tells Playboy magazine in its January issue, about trimming the tree with boyfriend (of six years) Burton, 49. "It looks lovely and glittery from afar, and then as you get closer, you realize it's rather gory."

Lest anyone get the wrong idea, Carter, who stars with Johnny Depp in Burton's new movie musical Sweeney Todd, says, "We're not that dark. What I love about Tim is that he retains a certain innocence and a childlike quality. He sort of forgot to grow up. I think I've definitely forgotten to grow up, which is great."

Carter, who in 2003 gave birth to the couple's son Billy Ray – and is expecting their second child later this month – adds with a laugh, "At some point, [Billy] will probably want parents. He'll have to look elsewhere."

Of their life at home life, where she and Burton share separate, yet attached, houses, Carter says: "Mine looks like Beatrix Potter. ... He has dead Oompa-Loompas around and multicolored fiberglass alien lamps. But then he has some nice red-button sofas from Sleepy Hollow. So it's a funny and good mix."

Dennis & Kimberly Quaid Sue Drug Company

Dennis & Kimberly Quaid Sue Drug Company | Dennis Quaid Dennis Quaid and his wife Kimberly have sued the manufacturer of the drug Heparin, according to court documents filed in Cook County, Ill.

The lawsuit, which seeks more than $50,000 in damages, claims the Baxter Healthcare Corporation, makers of the anti-coagulant Heparin, failed to properly label vials of its product and that the 10-units-per-milliliter vial and the 10,000-units-per-milliliter are virtually identical.

The Quaids assert that the company knew of previous dosage mix-ups, yet failed to recall shipments of the drug or properly warn hospitals of the dangers.

The couple's children, Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace, were born Nov. 8. They were hospitalized Nov. 20 at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after accidentally being given 1,000 times the recommended dose of Heparin on Nov. 18.

The twins "suffered and will continue to suffer injuries" from the accident, the suit alleges.

"On a negligence scale of one to 10, Baxter Corporation gets a 10," the Quaids' lawyer, Susan E. Loggans, tells PEOPLE. "They knew medication errors due to product labeling resulted in death but failed to recall the drug. Each year there's 1.5 million medication errors in America – it is a national epidemic."

There was no immediate comment from the drug company.

Suit Filed Tuesday

The couple filed the lawsuit Tuesday in Chicago, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. TMZ also reported the news on its Web site.

The babies "were very critical for a while," according to Loggans. And while the infants have recovered and "everything looks good," the Quaids want to help prevent future accidents, she said.

Loggans added that three children in Indiana died from a similar mix-up.
